Learning Python
So I’ve decided to learn Python. Python is beautiful. And I’ve been meaning to get back into making software and apps (it comes as a surprise to many that I actually made more – money-wise at least – doing web sites than making apps) for a while now. So I decided to dive head first into Python.
I’m learning on my own by going through the free Python textbook: How to Think Like a Computer Scientist with Python.
Starcraft League Tournament – Finally!!
Exciting news people! Starting this weekend at McVeigh’s is an all new Starcraft tournament.
Why start this? Because I love Starcraft!! And I want to see more people play the ‘beautiful game’. There’s a decent amount of prize money to entice and excite you further. I hope to see lots of people sign up.
Let me get some stuff out of the way:

- Time of matches? Sometime on Saturday during the LAN party when the COD junkies give us space.

SO it won’t be a knockout type of tournament, rather it will be a league. Why? To give everyone a fighting chance. Currently the Starcraft skills amongst the people I know are not evenly distributed. A league gives one the realistic chance to challenge the more experienced players. Ama? Also, a league runs longer. 
Prizes and stuff:
1st – Kshs 5,000/-
2nd – Kshs 1,000/-
3rd – A big huge hug from Psyko Fero
The first round of matches shall be played over this coming weekend at the upcoming LAN bash that will take place at McVeigh’s, Old Racecourse Estate, near Kariokor Market (in Nairobi). More information on this here.
The map that shall be used for ALL the first round one-on-one games is Heartbreak Ridge.
