Starcraft at the iHub

Over the weekend I took part in the WCG Starcraft tournament for Kenya. I made it to the finals! 😀

To view the replay, you must have Starcraft: Brood War installed and patched to the latest version. What do you think of the game?

Well, I lost in the finals. I’m not sure why. Psyko is a good player though and he played in a way that forced me to change my strategy a whole lot. Good for him. I need more ‘match’ practice. I cannot wait for the next time I play him.

Speaking of which, the WCG event was very well organised and I was impressed by the numbers of people who showed up. I’m sure that all gamers out there would agree that we need more events of that sort.

In particular, I’d like to see more Starcraft tournaments in this country. AND better players – honestly, apart from Psyko the other players need to pull up their socks. No offence intended.

Would a well organised Starcraft league with a decent amount of prize money (Kshs 10,000 or some PC hardware) work in Kenya?
